Vice President, Digital Experience
*This position is hybrid-remote and requires onsite work at our North Austin, TX headquarters with occasional travel to branch locations. *
Velocity Credit Union is seeking a visionary and results-driven leader to serve as Vice President of Digital Experience. This role leads the charge in transforming Velocity’s digital branch into a modern, member-focused destination that mirrors the warmth, trust, and guidance of our in-person experience. The VP will shape and execute the digital strategy that defines how members engage with Velocity online and in mobile channels. You will oversee the digital banking platform, Salesforce ecosystem, and custom development partnerships to ensure every digital interaction is seamless, secure, and built around member needs.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in digital banking or financial technology, with a deep understanding of both the business of banking and the technology that makes it possible. This leader will manage critical vendor relationships, ensuring that all partners deliver performance, innovation, and value aligned with Velocity’s strategic priorities. As the digital voice of the organization, you will guide a talented team, drive adoption and engagement, and help shape the future of Velocity’s digital branch experience. What you’ll do:
The Vice President of Digital Experience will lead Velocity’s transformation into a truly member-centered digital credit union. The role will shape the digital strategy, oversee key platforms such as digital banking and Salesforce, and ensure every online and mobile interaction reflects the same care found in Velocity’s branches. This leader will guide a skilled team to deliver intuitive, secure, and engaging digital experiences that strengthen member relationships and drive growth. The position will also manage critical vendor partnerships, champion innovation, and connect technology solutions to measurable business outcomes.
Your Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of leadership experience in digital banking, technology, or member experience roles.
- Minimum 5 years of vendor management and digital platform oversight.
- Proven experience managing Salesforce administration and/or related CRM platforms in financial services.
- Strong track record of delivering measurable digital adoption and growth outcomes.
- Expertise in digital adoption strategies, personalized marketing, and member journey design.
- Familiarity with vendor management, contract negotiations, and SLA oversight.
- Working knowledge of security, authentication protocols, and regulatory requirements related to digital banking.
- Understanding of financial services operations, payments, and the role of digital in member acquisition and retention.
- Excellent written and verbal team-based communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
- Effective time management skills include prioritizing responsibilities and organizing work tasks.
- Ownership of the customer experience through issue resolution.
- Adaptable to a productive team environment where knowledge is shared, and feedback and coaching are welcomed.
