Profile:
The City Manager plays a key strategic role in overseeing and developing the brand’s retail presence in Paris, with direct responsibility for the Boutiques and concessions located in major Department Stores. Acting as a liaison between the local market, Area Manager, and HQ, the City Manager is accountable for driving business performance, retail excellence, and client development strategies across all touchpoints, ensuring the brand's values and long-term vision are consistently represented and implemented.
Role responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Area Manager, the City Manager acts as a strategic connector between the Paris retail operations, the Area Management team, and HQ, and is responsible for the following key activities:
Supervise and coordinate the Store Managers across all Paris locations, including concessions in Department Stores, ensuring alignment in retail performance, visual standards, and service excellence.
Lead the strategic development of the Paris retail market, identifying growth opportunities and key clienteling actions specific to the local clientele and luxury landscape.
Provide the Area Manager with detailed analyses and insights on the commercial performance of the Paris retail network, highlighting business opportunities, tracking key KPIs, and contributing relevant market feedback to support strategic planning and data-driven decision-making.
Oversee and promote people management initiatives, including performance evaluations, succession planning, and internal development in alignment with the company’s vision and HR guidelines,
Foster a culture of performance, accountability, and development by motivating Store Managers and their teams, driving structured feedback processes and continuous improvement strategies.
Actively contribute to the definition and execution of local CRM strategies in collaboration with HQ and the Area Manager, ensuring the full integration of CRM tools and guidelines across all Paris-based teams.
Report to the Area Manager structured updates on sales trends, customer satisfaction, and market dynamics, enabling informed decisions to enhance business performance and strengthen brand competitiveness.
Strategically oversee the Casa Cucinelli space in Paris, ensuring exceptional client experience and operational excellence, while coordinating closely with the Casa Cucinelli Manager and reporting key performance results and insights to the Area Manager and HQ.
Collaborate with the HQ Retail Buying team to define a product assortment that aligns with both brand identity and the specific needs of the Paris clientele, ensuring a curated and effective offer across all locations.
Support and contribute to the planning of strategic events and trunk shows, aiming to attract new high-potential clients, strengthen loyalty, and activate clienteling initiatives with high added value.
Ensure operational excellence and consistency by overseeing the daily execution of activities in accordance with corporate guidelines and retail standards.
Qualifications:
For the role of City Manager we are seeking a candidate with an experience of minimum 12 years in Retail and with at least 4 years gained in Store Manager role in Luxury Retail.
To be successful in this role, it is absolutely essential that applicants possess the ability to demonstrate a strong business acumen and a solid understanding of both market and customers, together with strategic thinking, team leadership, and cross-functional coordination skills.
A very good knowledge of French and English is mandatory while fluency in a third language will be considered a plus.
