Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries
  • Recording financial transactions and ensuring all entries are accurate
  • Assist preparing for annual audits and tax return preparation
  • Accounting, investment reconciliation, and financial reporting for The Moody Endowment
  • Support documentation and processing of grants approved by The Moody Endowment
  • Grant activity reporting and reconciliation
  • Other duties as needed by the CFO

Qualifications


Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of GAAP theory and practices
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure deadlines are met on a consistent basis
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment
  • Experience working with Sage Intacct accounting software

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years accounting experience
  • Minimum of 5 years accounting experience preferred
