ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries
- Recording financial transactions and ensuring all entries are accurate
- Assist preparing for annual audits and tax return preparation
- Accounting, investment reconciliation, and financial reporting for The Moody Endowment
- Support documentation and processing of grants approved by The Moody Endowment
- Grant activity reporting and reconciliation
- Other duties as needed by the CFO
Qualifications
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of GAAP theory and practices
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure deadlines are met on a consistent basis
- Ability to operate basic office equipment
- Experience working with Sage Intacct accounting software
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years accounting experience
- Minimum of 5 years accounting experience preferred
