POSITION: Set-up / Operator / T&S Changes Hey/Saw
THIS POSITION REPORTS TO: Mill Holder Supervisor
LOCATION: 485 W. 3rd St. Dover, OH
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday (E2) 3:00-11:30pm OR (E3) 10:30pm-7:00am
ROLE: To initiate the manufacturing process by using planning sheets to determine which items to create routings for. Then to start the process by transforming round bar stock inventory into T-A, Universal, and Special Product blanks for customer orders. By saw cutting, face & centering raw materials within the cell. Replenishment of blanks in the Mill Turn blank Kanban. Associate will also cut R&D slugs to keep the Kanban board at the required level.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To effectively setup and run the Hey machines to print dimensions
- Inspect parts for quality
- To effectively run production
- Operate overhead crane
- Issue material to the saw
- To effectively setup and operate saw as needed.
- Perform operator level maintenance on the machines
- May be required to lift or assist with lifting 30 pounds or more.
- Observe and report any areas that need addressed.
- Deviating salvaged holders to open orders being processed through this operation.
- Process orders according to appropriate schedule and/or supervisor’s directions, and properly stage product for the next operation.
- Associate shall maintain the appropriate tool kit per the Associate Tool Policy.
Qualifications
Education
- High School Graduate or GED equivalent
Experience
- Previous Saw & Overhead crane experience helpful, but not necessary.
Skills
- The ability to use a Scale and Calipers
- Good Organizational, Communication, and Planning skills
Minimum requirements
- Lifting of 32lbs
- Planning of routing releases
- Pushing of loads of a 100lbs
- Ability to use overhead crane
- On feet for 8 hrs.
