Summary:
The Business Development Coordinator drives execution across Flatter’s business development, capture, and marketing functions—bridging communications, CRM discipline, content creation, and pursuit coordination. This position directly supports pipeline growth, market engagement, and proposal readiness, with a clear path to expand into capture management and proposal coordination duties.
Essential Functions:
Business Development & Capture Support
• Maintain and ensure complete, accurate, and timely updates to Zoho CRM, including research to populate all relevant fields and opportunity intelligence.
• Track leads, capture milestones, and gate reviews; prepare BD meeting briefs and pipeline reports.
• Conduct research on target agencies (DoD, DHS) and competitors; summarize intelligence for capture managers.
• Coordinate pre-RFP and post-RFP actions, including teaming documentation, NDAs/TAs routing, and meeting logistics.
• Support development of capture plans, win themes, and proposal storyboards under direction of BD and proposal managers.
• Participate in opportunity gate reviews and help maintain compliance matrices and proposal schedules.
Marketing & Communications:
• Develop and post daily or weekly content to corporate social media and internal communication channels aligned to Flatter branding.
• Create and update marketing collateral (one-pagers, case studies, briefings, newsletters) supporting corporate capability growth.
• Coordinate event marketing—industry days, conferences, and webinars—including logistics, promotion, and post-event summaries.
• Support website updates and ensure all digital presence reflects current Flatter capabilities and achievements.
Proposal Coordination Support
• Serve as proposal coordinator when needed, assisting with compliance checks, formatting, and assembling final proposal deliverables.
• Maintain SharePoint proposal library, templates, resumes, and past performance references.
• Support color team reviews (Pink, Red, Gold) by tracking comments, assigning actions, and managing version control.
Analytics & Reporting:
• Generate weekly metrics on pipeline activity, marketing engagement, and BD effectiveness.
• Support development of KPIs and dashboards for leadership reporting.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
· ?? Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
· 1+ years of experience in government contracting, marketing, or business development support.
· Strong Microsoft 365 and CRM (Zoho or similar) proficiency.
Preferred Education and Experience:
· Experience in capture or proposal coordination (APMP training a plus).
· Familiarity with federal procurement processes and IDIQ/BPA task order management.
· Graphic design or social media content development experience.
