The Louisiana Special School District (LSSD) is an education service agency who provides services to the Louisiana Special Schools (Louisiana School for the Deaf, Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired and Special School Programs). The schools provide educational opportunities to students with low-incidence disabilities and a variety of unique needs.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Administrative Program Manager 3 to lead and manage complex administrative operations and strategic initiatives within our organization. This senior-level role is responsible for overseeing multiple programs, developing and implementing policies, managing budgets, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills, along with a proven track record of managing teams and driving program success in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Position Duties

Six years of experience in administrative services; OR

Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus three years of experience in administrative services; OR

A bachelor's degree plus three years of experience in administrative services; OR

An advanced degree plus two years of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties:
* Develops, evaluates and implements policies and procedures for contracts, grants, and leases for the following statewide functions: managing, consulting, and service     contracts agreements.
*Authorizes payments or restriction of payments of grant funding. Oversees the de-obligation of unexpended funds on officially closed contracts/grants and over obligated contracts/grants.
*Prepares and maintains all such contracts/grants and back up documents as may be required by law and administrative rule. Performs original entries, reconciliation and all adjustments to grants management accounting records.
*Interprets federal and state laws, rules and regulations in regards to contracts and/or grants. Generate monthly reports for executive summary to the Executive Director of Business Services.
*Oversees Lease Management and facility planning to include development and revision of policies and procedures, and ensuring the lease management system in LaGov is current.

Position-specific details: 
Appointment Type: Probational or Promotional. The chosen application will be required to take a probationary appointment.

Location: The Administrative Program Manager 3 position is located at the Louisiana Special School District.

Work Schedule: Typically, work hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.
