Business Development Manager – Automotive Sector (EV Charging Solutions)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive Indra’s growth across the UK automotive sector, focusing on dealerships for new and used electric vehicles.

This is a national role, responsible for developing strategic partnerships and securing sales of Indra’s full turnkey solutions, including EVSE hardware, professional installation services, and aftercare packages.

The ideal candidate will have a proven sales track record in EV charging solutions or related technologies, with established relationships or experience selling into automotive dealerships, OEM networks, or fleet operators.



Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a national business development strategy focused on the UK’s automotive dealership network (new and used EV retailers).
  • Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within key dealer groups, OEM partners, and automotive retail networks.
  • Promote Indra’s complete turnkey offering – encompassing hardware, installation, and ongoing service support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (technical, installation, and customer success) to ensure seamless delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Represent Indra at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums to build brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and accurate forecasting through CRM systems.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements to ensure profitability and long-term customer value.
  • Stay current with EV market trends, government incentives, and dealership electrification strategies.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Proven success in business development or sales within the EVSE, automotive, or energy solutions sectors.
  • Demonstrable experience selling solutions into the automotive retail or OEM space (dealerships, fleet providers, or commercial networks).
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage complex B2B sales cycles.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable with national travel and working autonomously.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and structured sales pipeline management.

Desirable

  • Experience in EV infrastructure, renewable energy, or sustainability technology.
  • Knowledge of OZEV grants, installation processes, and EVSE compliance standards.
  • Existing relationships within the UK automotive dealer network.
