Job Description

Leland Saylor Associates is a nationally recognized construction consulting firm providing expertise in the areas of construction management, cost management, project controls and value management. We are proud to be advisors on some of the largest, most technically complex projects in the nation. Our project portfolio includes tunnels and other critical infrastructure, transit, aviation, education, healthcare, public works, and water.

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Electrical Cost Estimator with extensive electrical systems experience for large public facilities and infrastructure works to be part of some of the most prestigious and landmark projects in the Western U.S, conducting detailed cost assessments.

Daily Duties

• Prepare accurate construction and project cost estimates from conceptual design through closeout
• Obtain quotes for materials and equipment 
• Provide support in price negotiations and reconciliations 
• Provide and submit alternates and cost savings ideas to the proposed electrical systems 
• Review field change orders for quantities, material take-off and compliance with current material pricing, current labor rates, and contract mark ups. 
• Prepare and maintain projects historic costs and data for budgeting and references.
• Generally, support the development of various cost estimating deliverables throughout the construction lifecycle.

Minimum Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying,  or a related construction field.
• 15 years of experience providing cost estimating support on large public facilities or infrastructure projects
• Experience estimating projects utilizing alternative delivery methods, such as CM/GC.
• Possess strong skills in cost analysis, change order evaluation, and negotiation.
• Must have a work visa or US citizenship. 
• Software proficiency in OST or Bluebeam required, HCSS is preferred.

Compensation: $85.00-105.00/hour

Both Part-Time and Full-Time positions are available.
