Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive person to oversee a small local delivery operation comprising 8 to 10 trucks. This role requires a dynamic individual who excels at multitasking, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication. The ideal candidate is quick-thinking and experienced in interactive dispatching and driver supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and dispatch daily delivery routes for 8-10 local trucks, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries
• Maintain direct communication with drivers to provide guidance, route updates, and support
• Monitor deliveries and proactively resolve any issues or delays that arise
• Provide supervision and mentorship for delivery drivers, promoting safety, professionalism, and teamwork
• Serve as the main point of contact for client support staff, addressing inquiries and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Collaborate with other departments as needed to optimize logistics and resolve operational challenges
• Utilize problem-solving skills to adapt quickly and keep deliveries on schedule

Requirements

• Proven experience as an interactive dispatcher or delivery supervisor, preferably in a similar-sized operation
• Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to think quickly under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working with drivers, clients, and internal teams
• Highly organized and detail-oriented 
• Familiarity with routing software and basic office software is a plus
