We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This role is focused on driving revenue growth by selling professional services including consulting, staffing solutions, and Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) services to small, midsize, and enterprise businesses.
The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of consultative sales, the ability to build long-term client relationships, and a strong understanding of the talent and workforce solutions industry. You thrive in both hunting new business and expanding old accounts, while collaborating closely with internal delivery teams to ensure client success.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Identify, target, and acquire new clients across SMB, mid-market, and enterprise segments.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to promote professional services, contingent staffing, and RPO solutions.
- Create and deliver compelling client presentations, proposals, and pricing strategies tailored to client needs.
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their talent, workforce, and operational challenges.
- Partner with delivery and recruiting teams to ensure service excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Expand relationships within accounts to drive additional service adoption and revenue growth.
Market & Industry Expertise
- Stay current on workforce trends, industry challenges, and competitor activity to inform sales strategies.
- Represent the company at networking events, conferences, and client meetings to build brand presence.
Performance & Growth
- Consistently meet or exceed sales quotas and revenue targets.
- Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting within CRM tools.
- Collaborate with leadership to shape go-to-market strategies and refine service offerings.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in professional services, consulting, staffing, or RPO.
- Proven ability to sell into SMB, mid-market, and enterprise accounts with measurable revenue results. Ideally has established relationships and connections.
- Strong knowledge of workforce solutions, staffing models, and recruitment process outsourcing. Preferred – strong experience in direct placement and/or Recruitment Process Outsourcing.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong network of decision-makers in HR, Talent Acquisition, Operations, and Procurement a plus.
Benefits
For this position, the base salary is $65k - $90k and a commission structure that brings potential total compensation up to $205k. Willing to consider candidates that are remote if it is the right fit.
