The Position: The Residential Trainer designs, delivers, and evaluates training to improve care practices and cross-agency collaboration. This role ensures all training is consistent, relevant, and reinforced across programs.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor�s degree in social work or related field
  • DMH, DCFS, Group Home/STRTP experience required
  • Training experience

COMPUTER/OFFICE SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Microsoft Office
  • General Office Skills

PHYSICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Must pass pre-employment physical exam, TB, and drug screening
  • Ability to commute to various sites
  • Ability to lift at least 10 pounds for filing, boxes, and packages
  • Ability to sit for several hours performing clerical functions

CLEARANCES REQUIRED:

  • DOJ, FBI, Child Abuse Index
  • Insurability under Corporate Automobile Insurance

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality, timely training to improve treatment outcomes
  • Support collaboration between DCFS, treatment providers, and Law Enforcement
  • Provide technical assistance for cases involving repeated law enforcement contact
  • Track and report activities to meet grant and program objectives
  • Coordinate and evaluate clinical training events
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
