Description

The Sales Support Specialist works directly with District Managers and the sales leadership team to strengthen sales performance and support key business initiatives. This role focuses on improving customer profitability, tracking sales execution, and ensuring consistent follow-up and follow-through. The position also supports the Customer Service department and assists with basic marketing tasks such as coordinating promotions, tracking participation, and organizing materials.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with District Managers to assist in daily sales operations and territory goals.
  • Review and manage profitability and small order customers; help identify and address issues.
  • Support program development and sales execution, ensuring follow-up and accurate reporting.
  • Coordinate and schedule Customer Business Reviews with Sales Representatives and customers, ensuring materials and data are prepared in advance.
  • Help track online ordering participation and encourage sales rep engagement.
  • Identify and follow up on customers not ordering and customers not ordering +3weeks, developing reactivation plans and tracking progress.
  • Coordinate with the Center of Plate Specialist and Corporate Chef on menu development, product recommendations, customer presentations, and sales rep/customer participation
  • Work with Customer Service to help resolve issues, support order flow, and assist during high-volume periods.
  • Assist with marketing tasks, including promotional tracking, sample coordination, and basic content of lap to ads and updates.
  • Maintain accurate and current customer, sales, and program data in CRM and reporting systems.
  • Prepare reports and summaries to support sales meetings and performance reviews.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm; 100% in office

Requirements

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in sales support, customer service, or marketing; foodservice industry experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and CRM systems.
  • Basic understanding of marketing and promotional coordination.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across departments.
  • Positive, proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
