SUMMARY:
Responsible for producing precision parts by setting up, and operating CNC machines, as well as maintaining quality standards and following safety protocols.
WAGE TYPE: Hourly
FLSA Exemption: Non-Exempt

- Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure proper functionality during manufacturing processes.
- Load materials into machines and adjust machine settings as required for production runs.
- Conduct in-process inspections of parts or products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Perform basic maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating machines, and reporting any issues or malfunctions.
- Assist with machine setup for production, including positioning materials and verifying machine calibration.
- Monitor production rates and communicate with team members or supervisors about delays or issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE:
- Reports to: Team Leader
QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.
Education and/or Experience:
Expected: High School Diploma or GED with training in machining or manufacturing experience
Preferred: Certification in CNC machining from a recognized institution or related experience
Communication Skills:
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Other Skills:
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and simple measuring equipment, such as rulers or calipers.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as addition, subtraction, and measurement conversions.
- Comfortable working with pallet jacks or other basic material-handling equipment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks requiring physical exertion.
- Frequent standing, bending, and walking during machine operations.
- Comfortable working in noisy, dusty, or high-temperature environments.
