Position: Room Attendant Salary: $16.00/ Hourly Location: Resort Division Reports to: Housekeeping Coordinator
In accordance with the Gaming Ordinance, all non-gaming employees whose annual income reaches $50,000 or more will be required to obtain an maintain a valid gaming license.
Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare hotel rooms following established procedures, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and arranging furniture.
 - Attending all required training sessions and meetings.
 - Adhere to all North Star Mohican Casino Resort and Hotel Department rules, regulations, and policies.
 - Participate in employee random drug testing program.
 - Maintain a professional appearance by wearing the approved departmental uniform.
 - Collect soiled linens and towels and ensure their proper disposal.
 - Report and complete Maintenance Repair Request Forms for issues such as burned-out light bulbs or slow drains; notify supervisors of any damage or unsafe conditions.
 - Replenish room supplies including amenities and stationery.
 - Restock and clean housekeeping carts, linen supply closets, and report any items left behind by guests to the Lost and Found.
 - Clean and vacuum the area outside of guest rooms and follow proper procedures before entering guest rooms.
 - Deliver special items requested by guests (e.g., ironing boards, baby cribs) and log these deliveries.
 - Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety in all areas of responsibility.
 - Crosstrain to assist in the laundry room and perform deep cleaning as needed.
 - Familiarize yourself with the resort’s amenities and services to provide comprehensive information to guests.
 
Qualifications & Education
- High School Diploma or GED preferred. Required if 19 years or under.
 - Courteous and friendly demeanor with strong guest service skills.
 - Previous hotel housekeeping experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
 - Ability to clean 8-12 rooms in an eight-hour shift.
 - Good communication skills and ability to interact with a diverse range of guests and staff.
 - Must be able to follow directions and comprehend material safety data sheets.
 - Flexibility to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
 - Must pass pre-employment drug screening, health screening, and background check.
 - At least 18 years of age.

Work Conditions
- Must Constant hand movements, walking, and standing; may include kneeling, crouching, and bending.
 - Occasional lifting and moving up to 60 pounds; pushing/pulling a 75-pound cart.
 - Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
 - Work performed in a casino environment with a higher noise level.
 - A smoke-free environment with varied nose and dust levels, depending upon area/location.
