About the Position
The Human Resources Intern is responsible for assisting and supporting the Human Resources department in all aspects including recruiting, college relations & benefits/wellness. This position is a part of the Human Resources Department reporting to the Human Resources Recruiter.
The position should expect to work approximately 15-20 hours a week during the semester; Flexible hours can be scheduled around current class schedule and/or other responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Recruit and source new talent for MVP Sports Clubs.
- Assist with coordinating and running new hire orientation and any additional onboarding training efforts.
- Partner with the team to manage and improve the employee onboarding and off-boarding processes.
- Point of contact regarding college relations including organizing, promoting, and attending college recruiting events and career fairs.
- Optimize, standardize and improve HR processes and programs.
- Support HR initiatives and projects.
- Assist with the maintenance of job descriptions.
- Oversee employee communication through various channels including social media.
- Manage an internship-long project that will be presented to the Human Resources and Executive Leadership team.
- Support HRIS recruitment functions- ADP accuracy and execution.
- Assist with administration work as needed and requested by the Recruiter.
- Other duties as assigned by the Recruiter.
Requirements
- Working towards a college degree in a Business-related field, preferably Human Resources.
- First Aid/CPR Training. In the event a team member is hired without CPR or First certifications, they will be required to attend MVP Sports Clubs in-house training to obtain this.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates a strong ability to embrace and adapt to change, take initiative, and showcases curiosity.
- Ability to demonstrate verbally and/or physically the proper use of the equipment.
- Physical Requirements: Bend, stoop, crouch, climb, stand, sit and turn/pivot; lift/lower, push, pull and carry up to 40 lbs; perform office tasks using simple hand grasping, fine hand manipulation, and reach-associated with assigned tasks such as paperwork, typing, and/or word processing, filing, calculating and use of telephone; see, hear, and speak with sufficient capability to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions.
