As our Admissions Specialist, you’ll be the go-to guide for individuals seeking to join Aspire’s Employment Services. From that first point of contact to a successful onboarding experience, you’ll ensure each participant has the tools, support, and information they need to get started and stay engaged. You’ll coordinate the entire intake process, maintain consistent communication, and act as a key liaison between Aspire, families, providers, and representatives from the Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS). This is more than an administrative role—this is your chance to make a lasting impact in someone’s journey to independence and employment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Intake & Onboarding Coordination
- Facilitate referrals, conduct initial screenings, and coordinate intake tasks across teams.
- Lead prospective participants through orientation and onboarding with compassion and clarity.
- Keep all stakeholders informed through regular updates and responsive communication.
- Submit preliminary funding documentation and maintain accurate records of client interactions.
- Ensure all onboarding processes align with Aspire’s policies and regulatory standards.
Monitoring & Evaluation
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish quality benchmarks.
- Prepare reports and dashboards that reflect the progress and impact of your work.
- Identify and implement improvements in the intake and onboarding process.
Outreach & Relationship Building
- Build rapport with prospective participants and their support networks to understand their needs and preferences.
- Represent Aspire at networking events and develop connections throughout the Chicagoland area.
- Serve as a compassionate advocate and resource for individuals transitioning into Aspire services.
Requirements
What You Bring
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in an administrative, admissions, or intake role.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness and ability to travel locally for events and meetings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and electronic record-keeping tools
Preferred Experience:
- Background in social services, healthcare, or disability services.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and communication needs.
