Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Marketing Manager to lead our partnership development, alumni engagement, and lifecycle marketing initiatives for Summer Discovery. This role combines strategic partnership development, alumni network management, and comprehensive lifecycle marketing execution to drive program growth and strengthen our educational community. The ideal candidate will be a relationship-builder with strong marketing acumen, experience in the education sector, and expertise in managing multi-channel marketing campaigns from strategy through execution.
Essential Responsibilities
Lifecycle Marketing & Activation Marketing
- Design and execute comprehensive lifecycle marketing campaigns that nurture prospects from initial awareness through program completion and alumni engagement
- Develop targeted activation campaigns to convert leads into enrolled students and re-engage past participants
- Partner with CRM team to create automated marketing workflows and drip campaigns that guide prospects through the enrollment journey
- Manage end-to-end execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns including email marketing, social media, content marketing, direct mail, SMS/text marketing, webinars, retargeting campaigns, and influencer partnerships
- Implement personalization strategies based on student demographics, interests, and engagement behavior
- Help to manage the overall content calendar and develop content for regular newsletters
- Design onboarding sequences for new enrollees and re-engagement campaigns for dormant prospects
- Execute seasonal and program-specific activation campaigns to drive enrollment during key periods
- Develop and manage referral marketing programs and user-generated content campaigns
- Coordinate integrated campaigns across digital and traditional channels to maximize reach and conversion
Alumni Network Management
- Develop and implement comprehensive alumni engagement strategies to strengthen connections with Summer Discovery graduates
- Create and manage alumni communication channels including newsletters, social media groups, and networking events
- Design programs to leverage alumni as brand ambassadors and recruitment resources
- Track alumni engagement metrics and continuously improve outreach efforts
Partnership Development
- Identify, develop, and maintain strategic marketing partnerships with educational organizations, corporations, and community partners
- Negotiate partnership agreements and collaboration terms that align with Summer Discovery's mission and growth objectives
- Create and execute joint marketing campaigns with partners to expand program reach and enrollment
- Monitor partnership performance and ROI, providing regular reports and recommendations for optimization
Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Contribute to overall marketing strategy development and implementation
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure cohesive messaging across all marketing channels
- Stay current with education marketing trends and best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
- 4-6 years of marketing experience, preferably in education, non-profit, or youth programs
- Proven track record of developing successful partnerships and managing stakeholder relationships
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with CRM systems and marketing automation tools
- Proficiency in digital marketing platforms and social media management
- Experience with event planning and execution
- NYC based hybrid position
- Travel up to 10% of the time throughout the year, and up to 30% of the time during peak summer months mid-June - mid-August.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to be flexible with job demands and open-minded when being asked to complete tasks.
- Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the restaurant.
- Ability to operate with grace under pressure.
- Ability to move or handle equipment throughout the restaurant generally weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
- Ability to stand for up to 8-10 hours a day.
