The Watts Internship Program is your chance to bring what you’ve learned in the classroom to life! The Sales Intern will support the B2B sales team by assisting with lead generation, relationship building, sales enablement, and market research. This role is designed to provide exposure to professional B2B sales practices and customer relationship management strategies, while directly contributing to the growth of the business.
Reports to the Sr. Manager of Sales and customer engagement. Position is onsite based in Fort Worth, TX.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and qualify B2B sales leads.
- Support outreach campaigns via phone, email, and digital platforms to build and nurture customer relationships.
- Assist in maintaining CRM systems by entering data, tracking leads, and updating sales activity.
- Help prepare presentations, proposals, and sales collateral for prospective accounts.
- Conduct competitive research to identify industry trends and opportunities.
- Provide administrative support to the sales team including reporting and project coordination.
- Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to contribute new ideas for growing the B2B channel.
- Travel percentage: 0% -5%
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a high school or university program (Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field) or recent graduate.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Interest in pursuing a career in B2B sales or account management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous B2B sales experience (internship, part-time, or full-time).
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving.

Working Conditions:
While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site at a manufacturing facility and will perform the majority of your duties in an office environment. You may, at times, be required to be present on the manufacturing floor and will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. You will be required to work in the office at the Fort Worth, TX location (Monday – Friday). Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.

- Ability to remain seated at a desk or workstation for extended periods.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods.
- Ability to physically move around the office, organize or transport files, packages, or other office-related materials.

- Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, particularly in meetings or phone calls.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to physically move around manufacturing floor.
- Ability to read documents and communicate clearly with management and coworkers.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
