About the Department
Under the supervision of the Staffing Supervisor, the Temp Staffing Payroll Clerk is responsible for basic payroll functions and time entry and submission. This position will also audit timesheets and Invoices for accuracy in accordance with payroll procedures and policies. The Temp Staffing Payroll Clerk communicates with both internal and external customers regarding Temp Payroll, Invoices, and other confidential information.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gathers, organizes, audits, and submits weekly temporary staff timesheets to appropriate staffing agencies accurately and on schedule.
- Prepares, audits, and submits initial invoices with required documentation to ensure compensation for contracted staffing agencies.
Communicates both verbally and in writing to internal and external customers.
Assists in auditing, updating, and maintaining files, databases, and records in accordance with policies, payroll procedures, and record retention guidelines.
Assists other Temp Staffing duties.

Position Duties
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Payroll Experience
- 2 years of full-time work experience.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Accurate date entry skills with great attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Ability to handle confidential materials with considerable personal tact and initiative.
- Ability to work independently, proactively, and adapt to changing demands and requests.
- Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office suite and learn new software programs when needed.
- Ability to be an effective team player.
Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that of sedentary work and if the worker sits most of the time, the job is considered light work.

Minimum Qualifications
Position Type and Typical Hours Work:
This is a full time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Hours may vary based on the business needs of the department.
Work Environment:
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
There are no major sources of discomfort. A normal office environment with acceptable lighting, temperature, and air conditions is provided.
