Position Summary

The Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with key customers outside of our core retail channels. This role will serve as the main point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring exceptional service, execution of business plans, and achievement of sales targets. In addition, the Account Manager will actively identify and pursue new business development opportunities that expand 80 Acres Farms’ reach into alternate markets and drive sustainable growth.

 

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Serve as primary relationship manager for alternate channel accounts (e.g., foodservice, institutional, regional distributors, specialty retail).
  • Partner with customers to understand business needs, align on growth opportunities, and deliver category solutions.
  • Lead the development and execution of account plans to achieve volume, revenue, and profitability goals.
  • Manage day-to-day account operations including pricing, contracts, promotions, forecasting, and order management.
  • Monitor sales performance and provide insights to internal stakeholders on trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and supply chain to ensure flawless execution of customer programs.
  • Prospect and secure new business within alternate channels to diversify customer base and expand distribution footprint.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and business reviews to prospective and existing customers.
  • Track competitive activity and market trends to inform strategy and support innovation.
  • Contribute to special projects or initiatives that enhance the sales function.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of sales or account management experience, ideally in food, consumer packaged goods, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success in managing customer relationships and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to develop new business and expand existing accounts.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; CRM experience preferred.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and customer focus.
