Key Responsibilities:
Compliance Leadership
- Ensure full compliance with UK fire safety regulations, particularly BS 5839 standards.
- Lead internal audits and quality assurance across fire alarm proposals, installations, servicing, and maintenance.
- Implement and monitor compliance frameworks aligned with FIA guidance and BAFE requirements.
Training & Support
- Deliver training to sales, design, and engineering teams on fire safety standards and compliance procedures.
- Provide technical support and mentoring to field engineers and project teams.
Process Improvement
- Act as the primary contact for compliance-related queries from clients and regulatory bodies.
- Identify and implement process improvements using Six Sigma methodologies.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and safety awareness.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Full UK driving licence.
- Previous experience in a fire compliance or fire detection design role.
- Strong working knowledge of BS 5839, FIA standards, and BAFE schemes.
- Experience in fire alarm system installation and commissioning.
- Excellent communication and training delivery skills.
- Proven ability to manage change and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience in a Fire Compliance leadership role.
- Familiarity with security systems alongside fire systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Power Automate.
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
- Commercial awareness and ability to support business growth.
