As a Global Medical Science Leader (GMSL), you will be at the forefront of shaping how new antibiotics are developed, launched, and integrated into global healthcare practice. The Opportunity

  • You shape the future of medicine by leading and contributing to medical strategies for innovative antibiotics.

  • You design and deliver integrated evidence generation plans, spanning clinical studies, IIS, real-world data, and scientific collaborations.

  • You bring deep medical expertise in Infectious Diseases to guide development, launch, and patient access.

  • You build trusted partnerships with global medical leaders, patient organizations, payers, and public-private health institutions.

  • You strengthen market access strategies by integrating clinical and ecosystem insights into value-driven solutions.

  • You inspire confidence and trust through scientific dissemination, education, and peer-to-peer engagement.

  • You represent Roche globally, sharing insights and thought leadership with the wider medical community.

  • You empower and mentor colleagues across the worldwide medical network, fostering collaboration and agility.


 

Who you are

  • You have an MD with experience in infectious diseases preferably in anti-infectives and experience in product launch at local and/or global level.

  • You have a proven track record of ecosystem building and external engagement in the field of antibiotics development. Established connections with global health and funding organization such as WHO, FIND, Gates foundation, BARDA etc and other relevant public-private partnerships

  • You have a strategic mindset to drive a proactive ID strategy with pRED and GPS

  • You have TAE engagement beyond ID antibiotics experts and drive prescription behaviors with hospital pharmacists and ICU physicians

  • You have proven success in designing and implementing evidence generation strategies across multiple study types.

  • You have exceptional strategic agility, communication and leadership skills within a global, matrixed environment.

  • You have fluent English language skills and additional languages are an advantage.
