Overview:

FWI is building a team to provide clerical, administrative, and professional services as well as data management, documents preparation, records management support services and electronic records management for the U.S. Government Accountability Office. As a Records Manager III, you will organize and implement controls for electronic records and information systems while developing file classification schemes, records schedules, and performing appraisals to support GAO's enterprise records management program.

Work Schedule and Location:


On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday,8am to 5pm at the GAO Headquarters in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities:
  • Organize, maintain, and implement controls of electronic records and information
  • Provide information science, records management, and information management support, including organizing and searching for information
  • Develop and implement file classification schemes, associated file plans, and records schedules
  • Search, locate, retrieve, and deliver records and information following established procedures and security protocols that protect integrity and confidentiality
  • Document and preserve metadata
  • Perform appraisal and analysis of information for retention and records scheduling purposes
  • Ensure 100% quality assurance on all documents
  • Work with RIM Specialists to identify points of contact for records migration, transfer, and destruction
  • Classify and index administrative, engagement, and policy records in established filing systems

 

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in information or business discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant records management experience with specialized experience in file plan development
  • Certified Records Manager (CRM) designation is preferred
  • Knowledge of National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) policies, regulations, and resources
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite/SharePoint
  • Requires active Secret security clearance
