As the Marketing Lead for Legendary Headwear, you manage campaign execution, channel activations, and market engagement across Team Sports, Golf, Boutiques, and Destination markets. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you serve as the point person ensuring Legendary’s marketing calendar, campaigns, and customer touchpoints are delivered on time, on brand, and with impact.
This role is hands-on and project-driven, balancing day-to-day campaign management with market-specific initiatives that elevate Legendary’s presence and drive measurable business growth.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Brand Stewardship & Strategy
- Support the Director of Marketing in executing Legendary’s brand positioning and strategy.
- Ensure all campaigns and initiatives align with brand guidelines and market objectives set by the Director of Marketing.
- Act as brand liaison across internal and external partners to maintain consistency in voice and visuals.
Campaign Development, Execution & Project Management
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns for Legendary Headwear.
- Translate high-level brand direction into detailed project plans, ensuring deliverables, timelines, and budgets are met.
- Develop creative briefs, manage campaign milestones, and partner cross-functionally to ensure flawless execution.
- Manage campaign post-mortems, reporting results and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Retail & Market Engagement
- Partner with the Director of Marketing to develop shopper marketing strategies, in-store experiences, co-branded promotions, and merchandising.
- Execute market-specific initiatives across Team Sports, Golf, and Boutique/Destination retail accounts in collaboration with sales.
- Act as the primary marketing liaison for key Legendary customers, ensuring programs align with brand goals and account needs.
Digital & Social Presence
- Execute digital campaigns in collaboration with Digital Marketing and Marketing Operations to drive demand and amplify brand storytelling.
- Manage Legendary’s social content calendar, coordinating with creative, partnerships, and influencer teams to extend reach.
- Oversee the Legendary Headwear branded website and digital shelf, ensuring product content and marketing assets are accurate, brand-right, and optimized for conversion.
Customer & Industry Partnerships
- Support partnerships and sponsorships in golf, team sports, and lifestyle markets to elevate brand visibility.
- Collaborate with licensing and partnership teams on co-branded activations.
- Represent Legendary at industry events and tradeshows, ensuring strong brand presence.
Performance & Insights
- Track and report on KPIs for Legendary campaigns and marketing initiatives (awareness, engagement, sell-through, acquisition).
- Provide insights and recommendations to the Director of Marketing and broader team based on campaign performance, customer feedback, and competitive trends.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong project and campaign management skills; ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Understanding of brand management principles and how to translate brand direction into tactical execution.
- Experience executing campaigns across digital, social, retail, and experiential channels.
- Experience with B2B and DTC a plus
- Collaborative mindset with proven ability to work across creative, digital, sales, and operations teams.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or institution, emphasis in marketing preferred.
- 3-5 years of related marketing experience across a range of marketing disciplines
- Experience in the Team Sports, Golf, or Resort Markets a plus
- Some history of leadership or leading peers through influence and traceable accountability
- Ability to travel 10-20%. Generally short overnight trips to meet customers, occasional longer trips to multi-day tradeshows.
- Outgoing, connective, growth-minded
- Interest in the business and sectors where we sell with an understanding of business objectives
- Some understanding of marketing tools and platforms: Office 365 and Mac OSX, Google Ads, Analytics, Meta & TikTok Business Managers, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, and similar services for CRM in direct and performance marketing channels.
- Comfortable with social media platforms
Physical / Mental Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position (seated) 80% of the day and occasionally reach, bend, and move inside the office to access files and product.
- Required to have close visual acuity to perform computer tasks and operate other office machinery.
- The person in this position frequently communicates internally and externally and must be able to exchange accurate detailed information in a clear, professional manner.
