The Opportunity

BlueScope Building Components is looking for a Estimator to join the team based in Novar Gardens SA. BlueScope Building Components, a division of BlueScope in Australia, manufactures and markets steel building products, solutions and services through its four leading brands: Lysaght, Fielders, Ranbuild and Kiteleys.

The Opportunity

Working closely with our internal sales and customer service teams, you’ll provide estimating expertise so that our customers can build and create great structures.  Focusing on the residential roofing and walling segment, our team converts roofing estimates to quotes, as a value-add activity to provide a superior customer experience.

What Will You Do?

As someone who is comfortable with numbers and technical drawings, and using computer-based applications, you will be:

• receiving building plans and engineering drawings from customers
• providing guidance on the design concept and complete take-off’s
• developing estimates and quotes in line with business pricing policy
• monitoring customer trends and seek ways to improve the customer’s experience
• adopting a continuous improvement approach to processes and systems and actively suggest improved ways or working

More About You

Perhaps you have experience in estimating and drafting or have strong BBC product knowledge, you'll bring:

• high level of attention to detail
• experience in estimating in CAD or similar software or a willingness to learn (i.e. roof wizard and 3D modeling applications)
• strong process management and organizational skills
• excellent skills in Microsoft Office
