Who you are
The People Operations Coordinator focuses on managing employee data, supporting new hire onboarding and new hire orientation, handling various HR inquiries, and assisting with reporting.
What you'll do
- Inbox Management: Manage and respond to inquiries from employees and managers across multiple HR and payroll inboxes.
- Employee Data Management: Accurately enter and maintain employee information in HRIS systems, including AS400 and Dayforce, for transfers, promotions, salary changes, and terminations.
- New Hire Processing: Facilitate the new hire process from ICIMS to the AS400, ensuring timely and accurate onboarding data.
- Document Verification: Review and verify employee change documents to ensure completeness and proper authorization.
- Mail and Document Handling: Sort incoming mail and process payroll-related documents, including garnishments and requests, for upload to ADP.
- Cross-Training: Actively participate in cross-training initiatives across various People Operations functions to develop a broad understanding of the department.
- Reporting: Assist with the creation and distribution of daily, weekly, and monthly HR and payroll reports.
- Special Projects: Take ownership of and contribute to special projects as assigned, gaining exposure to various People Operations initiatives.
- New Metropolite Orientation (NMO): Assist in the organization and set-up of NMO, our onboarding program, including coordinating the IT setup.
What we're looking for
- 1 - 2 years of professional experience within a corporate setting.
- Experience with Google suite.
- Basic understanding of HR/People data management.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Eagerness to learn HRIS systems (AS400, Dayforce, ICIMS) and reporting tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

The anticipated base pay for this position is $24.00 USD to $29.00 USD hourly. The actual base salary offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base salary is one component of Metropolis’s total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans and more. #LI-KD1 #LI-Onsite
