Summary
In conjunction with the Director of Data, Analytics and Operations and the strategic direction of the Development department, the Development Coordinator overall objective and responsibility is to provide support for LFA’s data management systems and to assist the LFA staff in support of department-wide goals and functions.
As a member of the Development & Fundraising team, the position is responsible for data input & output and helping to manage the system data to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the database. Responsibilities include entering constituent and gift information, importing and exporting of data, extracting and analyzing data, and making sure that the database effectively captures donor information and generates accurate financial and analytical reports.
Primary Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for processing all gifts including, but not limited to online donations, in-house checks from national and regions, pledges, and donations from other various sources.
- Manage and execute the Foundation’s donor acknowledgment process for all gifts, including both the mail house and in-house letters. Response for pulling the file, reviewing for accuracy, creating the mail merge document, and sending it to the appropriate parties.
- Responsible for Foundation’s tribute gifts, pulling all files, and sending appropriate documents to families.
- Be the Foundation’s main point of contact for all development questions and queries and provide an exceptional level of customer service promptly to donors via phone and email.
- Managing the Foundation’s matching gift program, providing timely recording of matching gift pledges into the CRM and coordination with matching gift companies.
- Provide donation revenue reconciliation reports to Finance.
- Serve as a resource to the organization by producing queries and reports as needed.
- Assist with mail processing.
- Trouble shooting and problem solving to maintain integrity of all data.
Position Requirements
- Experience with Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge NXT.
- Experience with Luminate Online and Fundraise Up a plus.
- Developed understanding of database systems, and proficient with data entry.
- Database strengths are essential, with strong preference to development experience.
- Expert level proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Proven ability to work well in a fast paced and team-based environment.
- Self-starter and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities and projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
