Pinnacle GI Partners is seeking an experienced and motivated Specialty Physician Recruiter and Relationship Manager to join our private practice team. This role is essential to attracting and securing highly qualified physicians across a variety of specialties to support the growth and quality care standards of our practice. The recruiter will manage the full-cycle recruitment process and serve as a key liaison between candidates and our clinical leadership. This role strengthens relationships between physicians and the MSO, aiming to boost satisfaction, drive referrals, and support strategic growth as a key liaison.

This role reports to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective sourcing and recruitment strategies for gastroenterologists.
  • Work closely with CEO, Managing Partners and senior leadership to assess staffing needs and develop position-specific recruitment plans.
  • Proactively source candidates using various channels such as external recruiting firms, job boards, social media, networking events, professional associations, and residency/fellowship programs.
  • Screen and evaluate candidates based on credentials, experience, cultural fit, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle: from job posting, screening, and interviewing to offer negotiation and onboarding.
  • Maintain strong relationships with candidates throughout the hiring process to ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Attend and represent the organization at career fairs, medical conferences, and networking
    events.

 

Physician Relationships:

Physician Engagement & Retention

  • Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with physicians and medical staff.
  • Regularly meet with physicians to understand their needs, concerns, and feedback.
  • Facilitate physician onboarding and integration into the organization.
  • Develop strategies to improve physician satisfaction and retention.

Referral Development & Management

  • Identify opportunities to grow referral volume to key service lines or specialists.
  • Monitor referral patterns and address barriers to increased referrals. Conduct follow-ups to ensure referring physicians are satisfied with services and communication.
  • Support outreach efforts to both employed and independent physicians.

Communication & Liaison

  • Act as the primary contact between physicians and leadership/administration.
  • Communicate updates about operational changes and new initiatives.
  • Resolve issues raised by physicians efficiently and escalate when necessary.
  • Coordinate feedback loops between physicians and clinical/administrative teams.

Strategic Planning & Growth

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute physician engagement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Analyze market data and physician trends to inform strategy.
  • Participate in business development activities to support service line growth and outreach.
  • Event Planning & Education
  • Organize physician engagement events such as dinners, continuing medical education (CME)
    events, and roundtables.
  • Plan onboarding programs, training sessions, and orientation for new physicians.
  • Coordinate with marketing for promotional campaigns targeting physicians.

Reporting & Metrics

  • Track and report on relationship management activities and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain CRM or physician database records with up-to-date contact and interaction information.
  • Analyze physician feedback and survey data to identify improvement areas.

Collaboration & Teamwork

  • Work closely with marketing, business development, service line leaders, and administration.
  • Support physician recruitment initiatives alongside the HR and medical staff teams.
  • Provide insights from physician interactions to inform organizational improvements.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

 

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field (required).
  • 3+ years of physician recruitment experience, preferably within a private, specialty practice or healthcare system.
  • Ability to create and maintain business reporting
  • High degree competency and comfort working effectively across multiple levels and departments
  • Capability to work independently with minimal guidance
  • Excellent client communication skills. Demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate, both verbally and in writing, complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Self-motivated and capable of working in a dynamic environment
  • Must be willing to travel to our facility sites across Mid-Michigan
  • Must be authorized to work in the US
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen upon hire

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with physician compensation models and contract structures.
  • Knowledge of visa processes (J-1, H-1B) is a plus.
  • Experience recruiting for high-demand or hard-to-fill specialties.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of physician specialties and clinical environments
  • Familiarity with recruiting in high-demand specialties is strongly preferred
