This executive leadership role is responsible for overseeing the design, construction, and maintenance of residential, commercial, and quasi-municipal infrastructure projects for Hawaii Reserve Inc. (HRI). As a part of the President’s Council, the VP ensures the successful development and upkeep of properties and public infrastructure, including roadways, street lighting, and stormwater drainage systems.

This position is located in Laei, Hawaii.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of construction design and project execution, including major developments and ongoing maintenance of HRI-owned residential, commercial, and infrastructure assets.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and adherence to cost and timeline expectations.
  • Collaborate with consulting engineers on the design and implementation of complex or large-scale projects; coordinate efforts across HRI and affiliated entities.
  • Oversee the bidding and procurement process for construction projects, ensuring quality control, regulatory compliance, and adherence to industry standards.
  • Direct the maintenance operations for all HRI facilities, including commercial, residential, and public infrastructure assets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. 10+ years of relevant experience in construction, engineering, or facilities management.
  • In-depth knowledge of Hawaii’s building permit processes, zoning regulations, and development protocols.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business acumen, with proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Familiarity with standard budgeting and accounting practices.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
