Job Description: 401(k) Rollover Retention Specialist
Department: Participant Services Reports To: Manager, Participant Services
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Job Status: Full-Time
Work Schedule: Between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM EST
Position Summary
The 401(k) Rollover Retention Specialist plays a critical role in preserving plan assets by engaging with participants who are eligible for or considering a rollover. This position combines customer service, consultative communication, and compliance knowledge to educate participants on their options and encourage retention within the plan or transition to affiliated IRA products. The specialist serves as a key point of contact for participants exiting employment, participants interested in expanding their investment options with IRA products, and collaborates with internal teams to ensure a seamless experience.
Essential Functions
- Proactively contact terminated participants to discuss rollover options and promote retention solutions.
- Educate participants on the benefits of staying in-plan, expanding investment options, or rolling over to affiliated IRA products such as the Slavic Managed IRA.
- Handle inbound inquiries related to IRAs, rollovers, distributions, and account closures with a focus on retention.
- Document all participant interactions in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Relius).
- Collaborate with the Client Success and Retirement Advisory teams to coordinate outreach and follow-up.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IRS rollover regulations and fiduciary standards.
- Meet or exceed performance metrics including retention rate, call quality, and customer satisfaction.
- All other job duties as assigned.

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Proficient in CRM and retirement plan administration platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in retirement services, financial advising, or customer retention.
- FINRA Series 6 or 65 license preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Knowledge of 401(k) plan operations and rollover regulations.
- Extensive knowledge of IRA products and options.

This role will have a base pay range of $21.39 - $25.50 per hour. Please know, this is the base range only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for this role. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
