The Care Team Director is responsible for the administration and supervision of Academic Advisors in a defined Career Ladder or special population group. This position coordinates with Curriculum Education leadership to ensure up-to-date and accurate information and updates are provided each new academic year. Additionally, this position will develop advising strategies and programming that encompasses current best practices for advising, including the incorporation and implementation of technology to deliver exceptional advising services.

*Selects, supervises, and develops Academic Advisors and support staff, in a defined Career Ladder or special population group, and on multiple campuses, consistent with the college's needs, policies, and procedures
*Provide a range of academic advising services in a defined Career Ladder or special population group to new and returning students in multiple modalities, and after normal business hours and weekends as needed
*Promotes student success by implementing and measuring strategies which maximize student retention and completion
*Works collaboratively with Academic Department Heads to ensure advising materials and information are updated each semester
Collaborates with four-year colleges to promote transfer opportunities for all Wake Tech students
Provides leadership to Career Ladder or special population group staff to ensure the utilization of a variety of effective and best-practice advising delivery systems and methodologies for a diverse student population
Coordinates the development of workshops and other programming specific to a Career Ladder or special population group, to promote student retention and career/transfer readiness
Measures and analyzes effectiveness of advising for a specific Career Ladder or special population group

Ability to work a flexible schedule including some day, evening and weekend hours as needed
Knowledge of current technologies and virtual communications platforms, presentation creation, and web-based applications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree
Three years of experience, advising or counseling students in an educational setting
Leadership experience
Preferences
Master’s Degree
