This role will be key in achieving our strategic market and client ambitions. We are seeking to hire a Head of Client Systems, Analytics & Reporting to strengthen our MCBD function.

The Head of Client Systems, Analytics & Reporting sets the vision and governance for our business facing MCBD systems, ensuring that business-critical software, workflows and information architecture support business decisions, ease of operations, broad knowledge sharing and efficient data management. The role is responsible for business-critical tools, workflows and information architecture making sure that they are designed and implemented to support ongoing business growth aligned to the firm’s strategy and business priorities.

The role is also responsible for developing comprehensive analytics and reporting tools to track and analyze market work winning and business growth performance. Working with other Business Growth and Systems Leaders, the role leverages data to provide actionable insights, optimize marketing strategies and plans, and support strategic decision-making driving effectiveness of market and business growth programmes.

What this role involves

Team Leadership

  • Leads a global team of MCBD client systems, knowledge management and analytics/reporting professionals and is responsible for setting the systems strategy for the CRM system, Arup Bid Sites, Essentials Bid Support Pages and Global SharePoint libraries that supporting business growth activities.
  • Works with BMx leadership to identify change to tools and processes as business objectives evolve.
  • Responsible for managing the budget for MCBD business growth tools, ensuring cost-effective solutions and ongoing continuous upgrading and evolution of our client systems tools.
  • Manages relationships with internal vendors (DT) and external vendors and service providers to enable delivery of business growth programmes.
  • Oversees the development and deployment of firm-wide training programs related to client systems and knowledge management. Expands the focus on data information across business development to improve business outcomes through stronger knowledge and insight.
  • Collaborate with other Global Business Growth and Systems Leads to ensure alignment of programs.

     

Client Systems

  • Establishes the governance and workflows for the CRM system and ensures implementation and delivery of systems that are aligned to strategic goals.
  • Collaborates closely with regional client systems teams, driving the day-to-day operations ensuring alignment with the established governance.
  • Responsible for developing roadmaps for the CRM tool and delivering improvements identified in the roadmap, utilizing digital technology professionals and outside vendors.
  • Regularly reviews the CRM system, advising Business and Markets Executive on industry best practice and makes recommendations on changes to the client systems programme.

     

Bid Sites, Knowledge Management Tools and Programmes

  • Responsible for establishing the MCBD knowledge and data strategy supporting business growth objectives.
  • Establishes the systems and tools focus and sets governance, SoPs and ways of working supporting our data program enhancing business growth team’s ability to effectively and efficiently support business development.
  • Oversees a global knowledge management community with a focus on expanding and growing the team’s data mindset. Leadership is versed in agile work and community management aligned to industry best practice.
  • Champions the use of AI and data-driven workflows to automate tasks and enhance system efficiency. Stays up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and guides the development of our team’s knowledge management programmes.
  • Oversees the development and deployment of firm-wide training programs that improve the understanding, value and use of CRM data across the business in decision making, client management and work winning activities.

Analytics and reporting

  • Leads the development of sales reporting and analytics tools within the business growth function.
  • Guides analyst team to develop specific reports that respond to identified global business needs generating business insight
  • Work closely with the Finance team to ensure reporting is aligned to global CAR reporting protocols
  • Collaborates closely with regional analyst/reporting teams to ensure reporting is accurate.

    Qualifications

     

     

  • Degree, postgraduate qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Knowledge Management or a related field.


     

     

    Knowledge and experience

     

     

  • Strong technical knowledge of client systems, software development, and IT infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and inspiring high-performing systems and analytics teams, spanning locations and specialisms.
  • Extensive knowledge of bidding, clients, knowledge management and analytics.
  • Strong understanding of data privacy regulations and data security protocols
  • Demonstrated experience in building trusted, influential relationships with senior internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of current trends in AI, data information, cybersecurity and data protection regulations.
  • Experience in leading change, innovation and operational excellence in priority pursuit and business development teams.

  • Experience with data privacy and data security
  • Commercial literacy, budgeting and budget management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in marketing and communications related technologies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable with high levels of ambiguity, particularly in the context of matrix organisational structures.
  • Able to build strong and highly collaborative and inclusive working relationships with peers, leaders and other stakeholders.

Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in the United States/Canada is $140,000 to $170,000 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of the United States/Canada will differ.
