ITAD Customer Consultant – Deliver Outstanding Customer Experiences in a Mission-Driven, Tech-Focused Role!

 

Are you a customer-focused problem solver with strong administrative skills and a passion for supporting secure, sustainable solutions? Shred-X is looking for a proactive ITAD Customer Consultant on a Fixed Term Contract, with potential extension, to be the friendly face and organised force behind our IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) services.

 

As part of the Freightways Group, one of Australasia’s leading logistics and information management companies, Shred-X is a national leader in secure destruction and environmentally responsible solutions. In this hybrid customer service and admin support role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring client satisfaction, smooth operations, and business growth in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.

 

What You’ll Do

• Act as the first point of contact for ITAD customers, managing enquiries, service scheduling, and issue resolution with care and professionalism
• Respond to inbound leads promptly and help convert them into service opportunities
• Maintain accurate customer records, service agreements, and data in our ERP system (MAKOR)
• Process sales orders, reports, contracts, and invoicing with precision
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely collections and service delivery
• Provide daily administrative support to the ITAD Operations Manager and branch team
• Monitor customer feedback and assist with service improvements and process innovations
• Represent Shred-X with pride in all customer and stakeholder interactions

 
What You Bring

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in customer service, administration, or sales support – ideally in IT, logistics, recycling, or service industries
• Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-first attitude
• Experience managing inbound enquiries, converting sales, and building client relationships
• Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry, reporting, and CRM/ERP systems (e.g., MAKOR)
• Commercial mindset with the ability to identify upsell opportunities and support pricing integrity
• Proven organisational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• A collaborative, team-oriented approach and a commitment to safety, integrity, and sustainability
