About the Position

The Commercial Market Leader will be responsible for leading a dynamic team of Business Development Directors, Strategic Account Managers, and Account Managers. This role will focus on driving the team's success by ensuring the professional development of each team member and achieving market quota attainment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record in business development and account management. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying market opportunities, fostering client relationships, and implementing strategies that align with the company's growth objectives.

Salary Range: $175,000 - $225,000 / year

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Business Development Directors, Strategic Account Managers, and Account Managers, ensuring quota attainment for the market.
  • Ensure the professional development and growth of each team member.
  • Drive market quota attainment and overall team success.
  • Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to achieve business growth.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans that align with company objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends to inform business strategies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure client success from pre-proposal to project completion.
  • Provide regular performance feedback and conduct evaluations.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences.

Must Have

  • Experience: 10+ Years experience in sales leadership, business development, account management or any combination of the above
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.

  • Strong ability to mentor and coach team members for professional growth.
  • Must be coachable with a growth mindset, demonstrating a willingness to learn, adapt, and continuously improve their skills and performance.
  • Expertise in sales forecasting and market analysis.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to drive team success and achieve market quotas.
  • Experience in business development and account management.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments.
  • Proven track record of achieving business growth and client satisfaction.
  • Ability to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Project.  Advanced ability using MS Excel is highly preferred

Work Environment:

Work is performed in an office setting, and some field work is also required

Travel:

40-50%

Physical Activities:

Must be able to lift 25lbs.

Managerial Responsibility:

Team Member is responsible for managing their own work schedule with input from their supervisor and completing assigned tasks.

Team Member should identify discrepancies in assigned work and bring to attention of supervisor or engineer responsible for the project in a timely manner.  Team Member’s work product should be self-checked in a manner that is suitable for review by the supervisor or engineer responsible for the project.
