BAND: 2C, Deputy Chief Manager, Business Development 

 

TRAVEL: Medium. Will be travelling to various cities in India like Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Mumbai etc.

Site Heads and Site Leadership Teams, Supply Chain, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Quality

 

KEY STAKEHOLDERS: EXTERNAL 

Customers

 

REPORTING STRUCTURE: 

Reports to Head of Business Development Europe and India. No direct reportees.

 

QUALIFICATION:

Post Graduate (Preferably MBA) 


EXPERIENCE: 

  • Experience of 8 - 10 years in the Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Previous experience of handling generic API business for Indian customers (regulated market segment). 

Key Roles and Responsibilities. 

  • To draw up & achieve sales budget for India regulated market customers for Generic API products (more than 60 APIs).
  • Key account management and efficient management of existing customer base & add new customers for territory expansion.
  • Ability to expand the sales of existing products & also to create opportunities for new products offered.
  • Sales Forecasting/Budgeting/ Long Range Planning/ Customer seeding will be integral to this role.
  • Regular travel to meet customers through visits and trade show

 

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES 

  • Good hold on Excel & Power point
  • Negotiation skills
  • Basic understanding of R&D, regulatory and quality in the API industry. 
  • Ability to hold the conversation with customers and to make presentations to internal and external stakeholders. Ability to handle customers independently. 
  • Preferably worked on Salesforce.com
  • Business growth mindset
