Position Overview
Xpedient Logistics is a full-service 3rd party logistics provider. We have experience helping a diverse client base in warehousing services, transportation management, supply chain management, order fulfillment and labor needs. Xpedient is seeking a results-driven Business Development Director to identify new business opportunities, develop client relationships, and support revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand Xpedient Logistics' customer base.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market presence and achieve revenue targets.
- Leads the full sales cycle (opportunity management process), including lead generation, opportunity qualification, proposal development, and contract negotiation.
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, risk management, solutions, finance, legal, IT) to ensure customer satisfaction and service execution.
- Maintain CRM and sales tracking systems to monitor pipeline development and sales performance.
- Provides Voice of the Customer feedback for customer relationships, opportunity management, and overall account status reviews.
- Support strategic marketing initiatives to position Xpedient Logistics competitively in new markets.
- Understands Xpedient services and demonstrates understanding of technical aspects both internally and externally.
- Coaches internal teams for ways to develop new opportunities within their own accounts.
- Periodically reviews lessons-learned to improve close ratio.
- Presents as requested research on new industries to prospect.
- Coordinates with marketing for timely social media releases.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand awareness.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 8+ years of sales, business development, or marketing experience.
- Understanding of pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and sales forecasting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
- Preferred Experience (Not Required)
- Knowledge of 3PL services, including distribution, warehousing, e-commerce, transportation, and 4PL.
