As a Remote Admissions Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring clients and their families experience a seamless, welcoming, and supportive process — from inquiry to admission.

What You’ll Do (Remote)
- Conduct clinically informed pre-admission screenings (phone/video) to determine eligibility.
- Collaborate with nursing/medical staff to confirm level of care and client suitability.
- Document screenings and admissions data in EMR, CRM, and other electronic systems.
- Handle inquiries with empathy and provide program information.
- Guide clients/families through the admissions process, including consents and expectations.
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with payment arrangements.
- Maintain communication with referral sources and document interactions.
- Coordinate with Business Development staff to manage referrals.
- Provide referrals for individuals not meeting criteria.
- Coordinate retrieval of medical/psychiatric records.
- Liaise with clinical, medical, and housing teams to coordinate admissions and transportation.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Track admissions data and compile statistics.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accrediting agency standards.
- Participate in on-call phone rotation (evenings/weekends).
Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required — nursing, social work, behavioral health, or related field.
- Clinical license preferred (LPN, RN, MSW, etc.).
- 2+ years’ experience in behavioral health, detox, or medical setting strongly preferred.
- Prior admissions, utilization review, or triage experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of substance use disorders and recovery process required.
- CPR & First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
- Peer Recovery Specialist Certification a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment — reliable internet, strong communication, time management, and organizational skills required.
Work Conditions & Technical Requirements
- Setting: Fully remote (home office).
- Equipment: Company-provided laptop + reliable high-speed internet.
- Communication: Daily interaction via email, phone, video, and EHR systems.
- Hours: Core business hours + participation in on-call rotation.
