Medical Biller/Accounts Receivable Coordinator

Salary : $19.00 - $21.50 per hour

What You'll Do:

• Processes incoming referrals three times daily.
• Run a daily report on prior day admissions. Reviews patient account to ensure all information is accurate and eligibility current
• Prepare billing and transmits electronically.
• Utilize Esolutions to adjust or correct Medicare claims.
• Monitor and resolve reimbursement issues.
• Coordinate accounts receivable activities to meet required schedules for billing and financial reporting.
• Communicates with appropriate clinical staff to obtain requested information needed in order to receive reimbursement.
• Prepare adjustments to the accounts receivable system as required.
• Participate in team meetings, as necessary.
• Deposit checks and prepare batches.
• Post payments to patient accounts.
• Go to bank when needed.
• Enter physician visits into Cerner.

What You'll Bring:

• High School Diploma or equivalency
• 3 years' experience as a medical biller, hospice billing preferred
• Ability to problem-solve billing issues and communicate findings
