The Operations Engineer will lead continuous improvement initiatives, ensure food safety and quality, and foster a culture of teamwork and accountability. This role is key to advancing production capabilities, optimizing processes, and supporting Ready Foods’ mission, vision, and strategic objectives.
This is a full-time, salaried position reporting directly to the Plant Manager or Production Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive Production Improvements
Lead projects to improve safety, food safety, quality, OEE, yield, and other KPIs.
Design, implement, and optimize production processes and equipment.
Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth operations.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve production equipment and systems.
Stay current on food manufacturing technologies and best practices.
Create a Team Environment
- Build and maintain a culture of reliability, honor, trust, and continuous improvement.
Practice scientific thinking (Kata) and use data-driven decision-making.
Collaborate with Safety, Production Supervisors, and QA Managers.
Coach, mentor, and develop team members.
Ensure Operational Excellence
Lead by example with strong safety practices.
Support food safety and quality initiatives to reduce risks and incidents.
Train, coach, and support team members in TWI (Training Within Industry) methods.
Implement effective CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) practices.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
Experience in food manufacturing, production, or operations leadership.
Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
Proven ability to lead teams and foster a culture of accountability and improvement.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
