JOB SUMMARY:  

The Education Program Coordinator will support the implementation of after-school and enrichment programming by providing on-site leadership, volunteer coordination, and administrative support. This role ensures that all programs run smoothly, the learning environment remains safe and welcoming, and both youth participants and service providers receive the support they need to succeed. 


JOB RESPONSIBLTIES:   

  • Oversee daily after-school programming, ensuring activities run on schedule and align with program objectives; monitor participant engagement and address any disruptions promptly.
  • Supervise youth to maintain a safe, structured, and positive environment; implement behavioral expectations, safety protocols, and conflict-resolution strategies.
  • Coordinate, train, and support volunteers, including onboarding, role clarity, scheduling, and ongoing feedback to maximize their impact.
  • Assist service providers and community partners during program delivery; facilitate collaboration, resource sharing, and clear communication to support program goals.
  • Manage daily center operations, including setup, opening, closing, and cleanup; ensure spaces are well maintained, organized, and prepared for upcoming activities.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of program supplies, materials, and equipment; coordinate procurement and storage to prevent shortages.
  • Support data entry, recordkeeping, and other administrative tasks as assigned by the Education Specialist; assist with data collection and reporting to track progress.
  • Communicate effectively with youth, families, volunteers, and staff; provide timely updates, solicit feedback, and address concerns to meet program needs.
  • Uphold organizational values and model professional behavior for youth and volunteers; promote inclusion, respect, and a positive learning culture.
  • Contribute to program planning and evaluation; participate in team meetings, share insights, and help implement improvements based on feedback and data.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Have a valid driver's license, necessary certifications, a clean driving record, and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
  • Strong driving skills and a clean record.
  • Communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent time-management abilities.
