Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Hardware Lifecycle & Support:
- Deploy, maintain, and support end-user devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile phones, and peripherals.
- Manage enterprise printer environments including multifunction printers and conference room peripherals.
- Oversee and support conference room technology (e.g., displays, Airtame, webcams, microphones, etc.).
- Support label and box printers, with emphasis on Zebra printer configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Hardware Standards Management
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry hardware trends, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Evaluate how industry developments align with the organization's operational and technical needs.
- Coordinate testing and validation of new hardware before inclusion into the organization’s standard inventory.
- Labeling & Printing Systems
- Administer necessary hardware configurations to align with software for label design, automation, and integration with enterprise systems.
- Ensure label printers are functioning properly and configured per manufacturing or logistics needs.
- Mobile Device Management (MDM):
- Administer Microsoft Intune and SOTI MobiControl (legacy) and for mobile fleet management
- Enroll, monitor, and secure Android, iOS, and Windows mobile devices and tablets.
- Push and manage mobile apps, configurations, compliance policies, and device profiles.
- Support and monitor kiosk or ruggedized mobile hardware used in warehouse/manufacturing environments.
- RMA & Vendor Management
- Establish and manage the Return Merchandize Authorization (RMA) process for end-user hardware; stay up to date with Vendor RMA processes; and update and communicate the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) as needed.
- Manage vendor relationships for printers, mobile devices, and EUC hardware and peripherals.
- Analyze asset inventory planning and standards to establish minimum inventory levels and coordinate hardware disposal in alignment with IT asset lifecycle policies.
- Troubleshooting & Support:
- Monitor, document, and escalate hardware issues to vendors as needed.
- Maintain inventory and coordinate hardware procurement and disposal in accordance with IT asset lifecycle policies.
- Collaboration & Documentation:
- Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to align hybrid system operations with business needs.
- Monitor, document, and escalate hardware issues to vendors as needed.
- Develop and maintain documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles for internal use.
- Assist in project rollouts involving EUC hardware upgrades, printer deployments, or MDM enhancements.

Preferred Education/Experience
- Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years experience in End-User Computing or IT Support roles.
- 2+ years experience with mobile device management systems (e.g., SOTI, Intune).
- Strong background and experience with Windows and Android operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with box printers and BarTender label software and rugged hardware (e.g., Honeywell and Zebra mobile computers).
- Experience managing AV and conference room technology (Airtame, projectors, video conferencing).
Critical Skills and Expertise
- Strong understanding of enterprise printing, including network printer setup and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with scripting (e.g., PowerShell) to automate device setup or reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to work with vendors, coordinate RMAs, and manage support contracts.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities with effective communication.
