Description

The Receptionist is the first point of contact for visitors to the Office of Financial Aid at Keuka College and is often the first-person prospective students and their families meet when arriving on campus. The Receptionist provides exceptional customer service and supports the daily operations of the Financial Aid team. 


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome visitors to the Office of Financial Aid.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate staff member or department as needed. 
  • Coordinate in-person and virtual prospective student meetings with key stakeholders.     
  • Manage the office’s general email, providing a timely and professional reply.
  • Utilize the CRM platform to assist with financial aid operations-specific tasks.
  • Provide administrative support to the financial aid team, including appointment scheduling, data entry, and general support.
  • Maintain the reception area, ensuring it is clean and organized, and professional in appearance.     
  • Assist the financial aid Team during special events.     
  • Manage the financial aid offer letter process.    

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Some evening and weekend hours are required.
  • Occasional  lifting up to 25 pounds.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Always understand and behave with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google, and comfortable learning new software programs.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to maintain records and files with a high level of precision. 
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the ability to support events that are welcoming and inclusive to all prospective students and families.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some college coursework or Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in educational settings. 
  • Experience working with Slate and Colleague, or a similar CRM
