Withum is seeking Verification Interns for Winter 2026
As a verification intern, you will gain hands on experience supporting tax professionals through technology driven solutions. This internship is conducted in person and will run from late January through mid-April 2026.
How You’ll Spend Your Time:
- Utilizing software called SurePrep that utilizes 1040SCAN and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology and verify efficiency of the software’s operations
- Verifying and inputting 1040 tax data submitted by clients and scanned into software
- Constantly focusing on details and accuracy of the software’s functionality to successfully prepare tax documents for clients
- Helping maximize efficiency in the 1040SCAN software to facilitate paperless tax workflow
- Providing solutions to errors in 1040SCAN operations to ensure effective results from the software
- Utilizing XCM to ensure proper distribution of completed work to the appropriate person to create efficiency in the completion of tax projects
- Working with the tax department workflow and document storage tools
The Kinds of Students We Want to Talk to Have Many of The Following:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work in person
- Flexible work hours to balance with school workload/schedule
- Must be able to work at least 20 hours per week
- Accounting majors preferred
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Commitment to working with others in a team to make an impact
