This Opportunity


The IT Assistant supports the firm’s technology infrastructure and daily operations by troubleshooting issues, maintaining systems, and providing hands-on technical support. This role ensures reliable performance across hardware, software, networks, cloud services, and audiovisual tools while assisting staff with smooth onboarding, equipment setup, and day-to-day IT needs.

 

The IT Assistant will work out of our Los Angeles, CA office. 

Your New Role

  • Assist in the management and maintenance of servers, network devices, and storage systems.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, and connectivity.
  • Support cloud services and local infrastructure, including backups and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers and plotters, mobile devices, and other peripherals.
  • Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets in a timely and professional manner.
  • Install, configure, and update software and hardware as needed.
  • Set up and maintain audiovisual equipment for meetings, presentations, and remote collaboration.
  • Troubleshoot AV issues and ensure smooth operation of conferencing tools (Teams, Zoom, GoTO etc.).
  • Maintain accurate documentation of systems, procedures, and configurations.
  • Assist with onboarding/offboarding of employees, including account setup and equipment provisioning.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers for IT-related purchases and support.

Who You Are

  • 2–4 years of experience in IT support or infrastructure roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS environments.
  • Familiarity with server administration (Windows Server, Active Directory, etc.).
  • Experience with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Basic understanding of AV systems and remote collaboration tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience in a creative or design-focused environment (e.g., architecture, engineering, media).
  • Familiarity with CAD or design software support (Revit, Bluebeam, Adobe Suite) preferred but not a must.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, etc.).
  • Scripting or automation experience (Batch routines, PowerShell, Bash)

Compensation: $30.00 - $35.00/ hour. Applicants, please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The wage offered or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.

This salary range is based off the Los Angeles area.
