In this dynamic role, you’ll engage with schools and colleges across the UK, delivering inspiring presentations, offering guidance on university choices, and ensuring students feel confident about taking their next steps into Higher Education.

About the Role

As Schools and Colleges Engagement Officer, you will play a vital role in promoting Bath Spa University and supporting students on their journey into Higher Education.

You’ll deliver engaging presentations, attend UCAS fairs and recruitment events, and build strong relationships with schools, colleges, and other key stakeholders.

From supporting applicants through the decision-making process to representing the university at Open Days and Applicant Visit Days, you’ll be at the forefront of student recruitment, helping to shape future cohorts.

About You

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a range of audiences, including students, teachers, and parents.

  • Confidence in engaging with diverse audiences, adapting messaging and approach to suit different stakeholders, from school leavers to educators and key influencers.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a busy calendar of events, balancing multiple priorities effectively.

  • Ability to work flexibly and proactively in a fast-paced environment, responding to changing demands and ensuring events and activities run smoothly.

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK, as many school visits are not accessible by public transport.

  • Experience of working within a university, school, or college setting, particularly in student recruitment, outreach, or career guidance.

  • Knowledge of the UCAS process and university application cycle, with an understanding of the factors influencing students' decisions.

  • Experience using CRM systems, social media, or digital platforms to engage with prospective students and key stakeholders.

  • Previous experience delivering engaging presentations to young people, either in an educational or professional setting.
