A lovely family in the Burke Mountain area is seeking an occasional babysitter for their 3-year-old, with an immediate start. Care will be needed 1–2 times per month on any day between Monday and Thursday, for 1–2 hours at a time starting as early as 5:30pm. Their child is bright, energetic, and a bit shy, and enjoys crafting, reading, and discovering new things. Candidates are not required to be available for every request, but should be comfortable with an on-call schedule and understand there are no guaranteed hours. The family will typically provide 1–2 weeks’ notice before scheduling care. One parent will be home during care hours, and they are looking for support so they can focus during working time.

Upcoming days/times care is needed:
- Wednesday, October 1st, 5:30pm-7:30pm or 6pm-8pm
- Thursday, October 2nd, 5:30pm-7:30pm or 6pm-8pm
- Monday, October 6th, 5:30pm-7:30pm or 6pm-8pm
Responsibilities
- Engaging with the child through reading, simple crafts, and interactive play
Requirements
- 2 years of paid professional preschool aged experience (2-4 year olds)
- CPR certified, or willingness to become certified
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Able to provide 2 childcare-related references from a paid, professional setting
- Able to successfully clear a background and social media screening
- Korean speaker is a plus
- Must have a reliable vehicle (no public transportation available)
Compensation
This position pays $28 CAD per hour, and the family is looking for intermittent care, as needed.
