About the Department
Position Duties

? Provide a welcoming reception and excellent customer service to all patrons
? Answer basic technical, informational, and directional questions in-person and by phone
? Sort, shelve, and retrieve materials in Dewey Decimal and alphabetical order
? Handle multiple tasks and patrons while maintaining quality standards and providing excellent
customer service
? Input data into the library inventory automated circulation system
? Assist with set up, testing, maintenance, and circulation of eLearning instructional technologies and
media, including webcams, headphones, tablets, and related items
? Assist in the development of tutorials, promotional materials, and website content
? Follow FERPA and other applicable policies when working with students and community members
? Provide direct assistance to students who need support troubleshooting computer issues and escalate
to other support services as needed (eLearning staff, Tech Check, etc.)
? Cross-train in common Tutoring questions and duties
? Perform opening and closing duties
Minimum Qualifications
MUST be enrolled at LCC a minimum of 6 credits
MUST be able to work a minimum of 12 hours per week
MUST have at least 1 year left at LCC
MUST have experience with software such as the Google Suite (Drive, Sheets, Docs, Gmail), Microsoft
Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and have basic computer skills
Excellent customer service skills (experience with frontline customer service preferred)
Ability to be detail-oriented and organized, while constantly being interrupted
Ability to work quietly, neatly, accurately, and efficiently
Flexible, reliable, and punctual
Great communication skills
Ability to bend, push, climb and/or carry up to 30 pounds
Patience and confidence in working with a diverse student body
Pass a background check
