Alera Group is looking to add a Managing Senior Account Executive - Employee Benefits to join our California team. We are seeking highly motivated colleagues who bring experience and enthusiasm to our team – joining us may be the perfect fit for you!

Responsibilities:
Drive strategic client relationships by leading benefit plan design, renewals, compliance updates, and client stewardship meetings, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and retention.
Lead and develop high-performing service teams, providing mentorship, technical training, workload oversight, and performance management to elevate client delivery capabilities.
Manage carrier and vendor partnerships, negotiating competitive renewals, securing value-added services, and delivering market and regulatory insights to internal teams and clients.
Support business growth by partnering with leadership and producers to expand client relationships, onboard new business, and contribute to agency initiatives and culture-building efforts.
Ensure operational excellence and compliance through audits, accurate system management, process improvements, and adherence to regulatory and company standards.
7+ years of experience in senior-level Employee Benefits service roles
Strong knowledge of group medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefit products
Proven leadership experience in managing, mentoring, and developing teams
Expertise in carrier negotiations, benefits compliance, and industry best practices
Proficient in Agency Management Systems (e.g., BenefitPoint), CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship management skills
Bachelor’s degree required; professional designations such as CEBS, GBA, or PHR preferred
This job requires presence in the office on a hybrid schedule as agreed with the manager based in the Los Angeles, CA area.

Salary range is $190K to $210K per year.
