Forest Lake Area School District is currently seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Ice Arena Manager to start ASAP

Job Description:

Title:                                   Assistant Ice Arena Manager

Assignment:                       FL Sports Center

Reports to:                          Ice Arena Manager

Supervises:                         Full Time & Part Time Arena Staff

Duties Include:                  Arena Operations

·         Understanding and manage all aspects of arena operations

·         Assist in staff management:  hire, fire, schedule, and train all full-time and part-time staff

·         Assist with implementing all arena operations policies and procedures

·         Assist all event management – knowledge of each event and needs 

·         Customer service to all ice buyers

·         Ability to communicate with customers and staff

·         Ability to create new business

·         Ability to speak to large groups

·         Ability to use all current computer programs and software  

Maintenance and Mechanical 

·         Oversee all projects with the Maintenance Manager for major/minor mechanical projects and preventative maintenance 

·         Ability to work with outside mechanical companies

·         Create task list for part time staff 

·         Assist, maintain and review all logs for equipment, fire, OSHA, and MDH.

Relationships

·         Create and maintain relationships with all customers and vendors.

Additional Duties As Assigned

Other duties may be assigned by the Arena Manager, district leaders

Qualifications:

Minimum of two years ice arena operations experience 

Benefits/Pay:  

Classification:                     Full-Time salary position, Full Medical / Dental, Retirement, PERA.

Pay Rate:                             $ 23.38 - $ 25.22 – Depending on experience and qualifications
